As two thieves are looting Guy Gardner's storage unit, one is enveloped in green energy, causing him to exchange places with the Atom, a hero from the Tangent universe. The police then call the JLA to investigate and take the hero down.

Red Arrow is helping out at a soup kitchen close to Christmas Eve when he is recognized by one of the people he's feeding. Soon, Roy discovers the man is a former foe of both the Teen Titans and the Titans.

This issue guest-stars characters from the Tangent skip-week books DC published in 1997 and 1998.
